Richard Barnier

Richard C. Barnier, Chairman & CMO

Mr. Barnier is a widely recognized Management, Information Technology and Executive Business consultant focused on strengthening the results that businesses achieve from their investments in and application of Information Technology.

In his 30 year career, Mr. Barnier has worked in various leadership positions in executive sales, business consulting, senior management coaching, project management and CIO working for companies IBM, CA Digital Equipment, ECOS Electronics, Phoenix Acquisitions, and coaching senior management at Tellabs, Motorola, Blue Cross Blue Shield, JP Morgan Chase, Avon, Microsoft, Accenture, etc. Mr. Barnier holds the position of Chairman and CMO for the Barnier Group, LLC a business management consulting firm. Mr. Barnier was also selected to be on Mayor Daley’s Council of Technology Advisors, Chicagoland’s top “thought” leaders and business executives.

Mr. Barnier is the current elected Chicago area Chairman of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) and past National Board of Director for the associations 200 chapters. Mr. Barnier sponsors/facilitates the CIO and CTO monthly special interest group meetings for AITP, he also Chairs the CEO/CIO focus group and is a member of the Executives Club of Chicago and sits on their Technology Advisory Committee. Mr. Barnier also was elected on the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Club of Chicago.

Mr. Barnier is a published author on subjects ranging from E-commerce, the Company President as a change agent, A Management Perspective of Encryption Today, Strategic Professional Networking, Virtual from a “C” level, etc as well as a requested presenter to businesses and associations.


Patrick Moroney

Patrick E. Moroney, President & CIO

Mr. Moroney is President and heads up the CIO Advisory Practice of The Barnier Group LLC, an information technology advising, services and staffing firm. Mr. Moroney has been a business leader and I.T. professional for 28 years with twelve years experience in large-cap Chief Information Officer roles at Health Care Service Corporation (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma), The ServiceMaster Company (Terminix TruGreen, Merry Maids, others) and the Food and Nutrition Sector of Monsanto (G.D. Searle, NutraSweet, Equal, Ortho Brands, others). Mr. Moroney has global experience on 6 continents having lead major organizations, programs and projects in large scale ERP and system implementations, business transformations, change management efforts, outsourcing and M&A.

Mr. Moroney is a commercially minded CIO-level advisor with significant experience in supporting portfolio companies for private equity owners including I.T. due diligence, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, custom solution creation and system implementations, business governance, interim and emergency response roles and other leadership challenges.

Mr. Moroney is a member of the Chicago Chapter of the Society of Information Management (SIM). He is a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) and is their co-chair of the CIO special interest group (SIG). He is also President of Technology Leaders Association (TLA) a collegial networking organization for senior technology executives with membership of 7,500. He is a member of the Executives’ Club of Chicago and received the Club’s “CIO of the Year” award for 2004, ComputerWorld Magazine’s “Top 100 CIOs in the country” award for 2006 and helped his IT organization at HCSC achieve the #21 spot in ComputerWorld’s top 100 best IT workplaces in 2005. Mr. Moroney received a Bachelors in Business Administration degree from Loyola University of Chicago in 1977.

Gary Czubak

Gary R. Czubak, EVP & COO

Mr. Czubak is Chief Operating Officer and heads up the CTO Advisory Practice of The Barnier Group LLC. Mr. Czubak is a senior telecommunication and information systems executive with a broad CIO/CTO and General Manager background. Gary has over 35 years of leadership experience with startup to Fortune 50 organizations including Michigan Bell Telephone & Ameritech (now AT&T), Calliope, Inc., Budget Rent-A-Car, Ryder TRS, BuySide Realty and most recently Network Engineering Technologies as EVP & GM. Gary's expertise is in providing leadership to companies with massive, critical communications infrastructures. He is a transformation IT executive who has established the vision, strategy, program management and governance of major capital investments that have enabled U.S. and Global operations.

A results-oriented C-level advisor, Mr. Czubak has significant experience in technology management with accomplishment optimizing networks, computer operations and technology infrastructure for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, product development, business process improvement, custom internetworking solution creation, and large system implementations. He has led the development of project management and solution delivery methodologies, established PMO's, and is skilled at building and executing value-driven strategic and annual operating plans. His collaborative matrix management style has guided multi-partner and virtual teams on hundreds of successful internetworking projects for Fortune clients in multiple industries. A proven P&L executive with an exceptional customer service mentality, he is quality-focused and delivers innovative, award-winning, customer solutions.

Mr. Czubak is a board of director of the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) Chicago Chapter and is co-chair of the CIO special interest group (SIG). He is an active member of the Society of Information Management(SIM), Technology Leaders Association (TLA) and the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Theo Gantos

Theodore E. Gantos - Custom Application Development

Mr. Gantos is a veteran of computer systems and development. His career spans three decades in the industry. He is familiar with several computer languages, including assembler, and over a dozen hardware platforms. Mr. Gantos was in the forefront of several innovations in the computing industry: Minicomputers and online systems, Microcomputers, Relational Databases, Business Process Reengineering, Object-oriented programming, Data Communications, Networking, Structured Cabling Standards, Internet Technologies, and Agile-Iterative Systems Development.

Mr. Gantos worked for Digital Equipment Corporation during their heyday in the mid 1980's; was on staff at Northwestern University Academic Computing; developed a major integrated database application during his tenure with Exhibit Architecture.

Mr. Gantos' consulting clients include: Citibank Frankfurt, Eli Lilly & Company, and Gen. Wesley Clark. He has an extensive list of internationally published articles available for browsing. Theo also manages email and web server infrastructure for The Barnier Group.
